Here, you'll find updates on important milestones, including online meetings, major project phases, and detailed overviews of recent and upcoming tasks.

  • 22.01.2026

    During the meeting, the overall strategy and detailed activity timeline for the dissemination activities to be carried out within the scope of WP5 were discussed. The tasks and responsibilities of the partners were reviewed, and the events and content production processes to which each institution will contribute were clarified. In addition, the planning of MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) processes and round table activities, the identification of target stakeholders, and the integration of these activities into the overall timeline were discussed. At the end of the meeting, the actions to be completed before the next follow-up meeting were agreed upon by the partners.

    Following the Teacher Training and Capacity Building Workshop organised within the scope of the GREENLIGHT Project, trained teachers implemented STEM lesson plans consisting of five modules with students at Menteşe Şehit Mehmet Çetin Anatolian Imam Hatip High School during November–December 2025. Through the workshop activities, students’ understanding of renewable energy and their learning processes were supported. The outcomes of the implementation were evaluated and analysed.

    During the online coordination meeting, the target numbers of participants for teacher and student training activities and the requirements for related evidence documentation were reviewed. The overall progress of WP4 implementations was discussed, and the principles regarding the use of Google Drive for reporting and document management were clarified.

    In addition, the general progress of dissemination activities, online trainings, multiplier events, and academic publication tasks planned and implemented under WP5 was reviewed, along with discussions on completing missing documentation and planning upcoming online meetings.

    Within the framework of the Teacher Training and Capacity Building Workshops organised under the GREENLIGHT Project, teachers who received training implemented STEM lesson plans consisting of five modules with students during November–December 2025. Through the activities carried out within the Green Energy STEM Student Workshop, students’ knowledge of renewable energy, problem-solving skills, and hands-on learning processes were supported.

    At the end of the workshop, the outcomes of the training activities were analysed, and the impact of the implemented STEM plans on students’ learning processes was evaluated. The results obtained were documented to inform and support future project activities.

    The Teacher Training and Capacity Building Workshop organised within the scope of the GREENLIGHT Project was carried out during November–December 2025 through the collaboration of the project’s Portuguese partners, University of Minho and Agrupamento de Escolas Alberto Sampaio. A total of 28 teachers from different schools participated in the training activities.

    During the workshop, participating teachers were introduced to the e-Platform developed within the project. Comprehensive training sessions were delivered on the 5 STEM lesson plans focused on renewable energy, along with practical guidance on how these plans can be effectively implemented in classroom settings.

    During the online coordination meeting, the overall progress of teacher and student workshops conducted under WP4 was reviewed. Key principles regarding evidence documentation to be used during the implementation process were discussed, and the approach to be followed within the framework of reporting and data protection requirements was clarified. In addition, document management, reporting procedures, and file organization were addressed, and preliminary planning related to academic and dissemination activities under WP5 was discussed as the project enters its final phase.

    Within the scope of dissemination activities, the GREENLIGHT Project was represented at the EU Code Week 2025 events through the participation of Universidade do Minho (UMinho) and Agrupamento de Escolas Alberto Sampaio (AESAS). During the event, the project was introduced, and awareness-raising content on sustainable energy, energy literacy, and renewable energy sources was shared.

    The Teacher Training and Capacity Building Workshop organised within the scope of the GREENLIGHT Project was carried out between 15–17 October 2025 through the collaboration of the project’s Turkish partners, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Menteşe Şehit Mehmet Çetin Anadolu Imam Hatip High School (AİHL). A total of 26 teachers from Menteşe Şehit Mehmet Çetin AİHL and other schools participated in the event.

    During the workshop, participating teachers were introduced to the e-Platform developed within the project. In addition, comprehensive training sessions were delivered on the 5 STEM lesson plans developed as part of the project, including guidance on how these plans can be effectively implemented in classroom settings.

  • 17.10.2025

    The Teacher Training and Capacity Building Workshop, organised within the scope of the GREENLIGHT Project, was held on 15–16–17 November in cooperation with Liofyllo from Greece and Nikola Karev from North Macedonia. During the workshop, participating teachers were introduced to the e-Platform developed within the project and received comprehensive training on the five STEM lesson plans focused on renewable energy. Practical guidance was also provided on how these lesson plans can be implemented in classroom settings.

    During the online meeting, the current status of activities carried out within WP2 and WP3 was reviewed, with particular attention given to translation processes, pilot implementations, and reporting timelines. It was also noted that the activities planned under WP4 will be discussed in detail during the upcoming face-to-face meeting, and that initiating preparatory work in advance would contribute positively to the process. In addition, it was considered appropriate to begin the academic publication process following the completion of the pilot studies. Furthermore, updates on the project website and the progress of the developed educational games were shared, highlighting the importance of coordinated dissemination activities.

    On 14 October 2025, within the scope of Erasmus Days, various dissemination activities were organized by the project partners. As part of these activities, presentations on energy sources, sustainable energy, and renewable energy were delivered to secondary school students. In addition, games, interactive activities, and laboratory studies aimed at increasing students’ awareness were carried out.

  • 05.10.2025

    Within the scope of the GREENLIGHT Project, the lesson plans developed for both teachers and students have been successfully completed. Designed based on the STEM approach, these lesson plans consist of five structured plans for teachers and five for students. The developed plans aim to support learning outcomes related to renewable energy, problem-solving, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. Based on these plans, workshop activities are planned to start in the upcoming period.

    During the online coordination meeting, the current status of the activities carried out under WP4 and the planning of the upcoming teacher and student workshops were discussed. It was shared that the STEM lesson plans themed “Energy and Energy Sources” have been completed and adopted as the core model for WP4 implementation. The workshop implementation model was reviewed by taking into account different country and school contexts, and the alignment between the implementation schedule and reporting processes was emphasized.

    In addition, information was provided on the integration of the lesson plans with the Greenlight online platform and educational games, technical updates related to the project website, data tracking within the scope of dissemination activities, GDPR compliance, and evidence documentation.

  • 13.09.2025

    The paper entitled “COMPONENTES DA LITERACIA ENERGÉTICA: UM ESTUDO COM FUTUROS PROFESSORES DO ENSINO BÁSICO”, prepared by Minho University, was presented at the XXI Encontro Nacional de Educação em Ciências / VII International Seminar of Science Education, held on 11, 12, and 13 September 2025. The presentation addressed the studies conducted within the scope of the project and examined the conceptual components of energy literacy, while the project’s objectives and academic outputs were shared with national and international participants.

  • 05.09.2025

    Between 1–5 September 2025, the GREENLIGHT Project was presented to national and international participants at the 41st International Physics Congress, held in Bodrum, Muğla. Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University participated with a poster entitled “Sustainable Energy Transitions and Environmental Challenges”, while Menteşe Şehit Mehmet Çetin Anatolian Imam Hatip High School (AİHL) contributed with the poster “Energy Literacy for a Climate Conscious Generation.” Through these poster presentations, information about the project’s objectives, implemented activities, and achieved outputs was shared, highlighting work carried out in the fields of renewable energy and energy literacy.

    On 3 September 2025, the study entitled “CONCEÇÕES E PERCEÇÕES ACERCA DE ENERGIA, FONTES DE ENERGIA E TECNOLOGIAS ASSOCIADAS”, prepared by Minho University, was presented within the scope of the XVIII Congresso Internacional Galego-Português de Psicopedagogia conference. The presentation provided an opportunity to share the project activities within an international scientific context.

  • 18.07.2025

    During the online meeting, the upcoming activities and priorities for the final year of the GREENLIGHT Project were discussed in general terms. It was noted that WP2 and WP3 have been completed, while the timeline and scope of the planned activities under WP4 and WP5 were reviewed.

  • 02.06.2025

    The 3rd Transnational Project Meeting was held in Patras, Greece, from May 31 to June 2. During the meeting, the activities carried out during the project period were reviewed and evaluated. In addition, partners shared their views and ideas on the STEM-related plans to be implemented within WP4.

  • 21.05.2025

    Pilot activities conducted within the scope of the GREENLIGHT Platform were carried out between 11–20 May 2025 at the project partner DSU-RCSOO Nikola Karev, located in Strumica, North Macedonia. During the pilot implementation, students examined the GREENLIGHT e-Platform in detail and actively experienced the digital content and games available on the platform. In this process, students’ learning experiences through gameplay were observed, and the impact of the e-Platform on learning outcomes was analysed.

    Developed within the scope of the GREENLIGHT Project, the e-Platform has been launched as a comprehensive digital resource in the fields of renewable energy and energy literacy. The platform offers educational videos, interactive games, and rich content designed to support learning and awareness for different target groups. The e-Platform has been developed in English, Turkish, Portuguese, Greek, and Macedonian, ensuring multilingual and international accessibility.

    The digital games developed within the scope of the Project GREENLIGHT have been designed to enhance energy literacy and promote sustainability awareness. Supported by educational content, these games make the learning process more effective and engaging through their interactive structures tailored to different age groups.

    All developed games are now available online via the https://projectgreenlighteu.com/Home/ePlatform website, allowing users to access and experience them directly without the need for any additional software.

  • 06.03.2025

    Based on the updated timeline, the completion status of WP2 sub-tasks was reviewed, and the transition to the next project phase, WP3, was discussed. The meeting focused on the interactive e-learning modules and digital educational games developed within WP3, while the project website, game designs, and content structure were reviewed at a general level. In addition, the thematic categorisation of the games, multilingual accessibility, and the free availability of all content were among the key topics addressed.

    During the online meeting, the overall progress of the activities within WP2 was reviewed and pending tasks were discussed. The timeline for the methodology document, report contents, and translation processes was examined, with emphasis on the agreed deadlines. Updates related to dissemination and communication documents, as well as the structuring of website content, were addressed. In addition, general evaluations were made regarding educational content, games, and interactive materials to be included on the project website.

    The project website has been launched, serving as a comprehensive platform to share information about the GREENLIGHT project. It features details on project activities, partner contributions, and insights into renewable energy projects implemented in various countries. Additionally, it provides a resource for creating curricula on renewable energy sources and sharing this information. Furthermore, the platform aims to share interactive educational applications through the e-Platform.

  • 16.10.2024

    A webinar event was organized as part of Erasmus Days with the participation of partner countries. Students from Şehit Mehmet Çetin AIHL and Agrupamento de Escolas Alberto Sampaio (AESAS) attended the event. During the event, renewable energy projects implemented in various countries were presented. Additionally, AESAS students contributed to the webinar by delivering a presentation on renewable energy sources.

    At the end of the webinar, students participated in a fun competition on renewable energy sources using Kahoot, allowing them to enjoy their time.

    Progress on the activities of the second work package was thoroughly discussed during the online meeting. The participants evaluated the work done regarding the achievement of the work package's objectives. Partners shared their insights on the impact of the conducted activities, focusing on research related to renewable energy sources and advancements in sustainability.

  • 20.07.2024

    A meeting was held with the participation of project partners on 20-22 July 2024. The topics discussed included project management, quality, dissemination and communication, and green management plans. In the context of the introduction to energy and sustainability, activities such as creating a renewable energy source database and report drafts were addressed.

    During the presentations on the work processes, information was provided regarding qualitative and quantitative research methods, content development, and data collection processes. Furthermore, research topics were proposed, and discussions were held regarding their inclusion in the project.

    An online meeting was organized with the participation of project partners. During this meeting, important topics were discussed, including work packages and the Gantt chart outlining the planned activities.

    The aim of the meeting was to foster collaboration among partners and ensure that everyone is aligned on the project’s goals and timelines. Participants exchanged insights and strategies to effectively implement the project objectives, focusing on enhancing renewable energy education and promoting sustainable practices.

    Our project embarks on an inspiring journey to enhance energy literacy, innovate environmental practices, and develop pioneering educational materials. Through this initiative, we aim to increase awareness of energy choices and educate young people aged 15-17 on sustainable practices. The kick-off meeting included insightful discussions on our workflows, laying the foundation for streamlining STEM learning and empowering individuals to make informed, sustainable choices for the future.
