GREENLIGHT: Generating Renewable Energy Education Network Leading Initiatives for Green & Harmonious Tomorrows

Liofyllo Showcased the GREENLIGHT Project at Patras IQ 2026 Multiplier Event

As part of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH GREENLIGHT project, Liofyllo Social Cooperative Enterprise successfully organized a Multiplier Event on 1 March 2026 within the framework of The Achaia Business & Innovation Showcase 2026, held as part of Patras IQ 2026.

The event brought together 75 participants and formed part of one of the region's leading initiatives promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge transfer. It provided an important platform where innovative businesses, educational institutions, research organizations, public authorities, and stakeholders from various sectors came together to share best practices, emerging technologies, and entrepreneurial initiatives that contribute to sustainable regional development.

Organized under Work Package 5 (WP5) – Boosting Visibility, Ensuring Impact, the multiplier event aimed to disseminate the GREENLIGHT project's achievements, showcase its innovative educational resources, and strengthen the long-term sustainability of the project's outcomes. The event also contributed to increasing awareness of the project among stakeholders working in education, entrepreneurship, innovation, and the green transition.

During the panel discussion on "Innovation and the Green Transition", Alexandra Makrygeorgou, representing Liofyllo Social Cooperative Enterprise, presented the GREENLIGHT project and introduced its innovative digital learning tools and experiential learning approaches designed to improve renewable energy literacy among students and educators. The presentation also provided a comprehensive overview of the project's objectives, international partnership, implementation process, and the educational outcomes achieved throughout the project.

Participants were introduced to the GREENLIGHT e-Learning Platform, the Teacher Handbook, the e-Book, STEM lesson plans, digital educational games, and other open educational resources developed to support renewable energy education and sustainability. Throughout the event, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of digital learning methodologies, environmental awareness, and sustainable development goals in shaping the future of education.

The multiplier event created an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking among representatives from education, research, entrepreneurship, and the public sector. Participants shared their experiences and provided valuable feedback on the usability, dissemination, and long-term application of the GREENLIGHT educational resources while discussing practical strategies for integrating renewable energy education into educational systems.

The GREENLIGHT Multiplier Event, organized within the framework of Patras IQ 2026, significantly enhanced the project's visibility in Greece while fostering new opportunities for collaboration among stakeholders working in education, innovation, and sustainability. The strong interest and positive feedback received from participants further demonstrated the long-term potential of the GREENLIGHT educational resources to support renewable energy education, environmental awareness, and sustainable development beyond the project's lifetime.
