Liofyllo Successfully Delivered the GREENLIGHT Online e-Learning Training Activity

As part of the GREENLIGHT Erasmus+ Project, Liofyllo successfully organised the Online e-Learning Training Activity from 24 to 26 April 2026, bringing together educators and education professionals to explore innovative approaches to renewable energy education and sustainability.

The three-day online event was implemented under Work Package 5 (WP5) – Boosting Visibility, Ensuring Impact with the objective of promoting the GREENLIGHT project and supporting the dissemination of its educational outputs. The training encouraged participants to discover practical resources and teaching methodologies that foster energy literacy and sustainable learning.

Designed as a series of interactive online sessions, the programme combined expert presentations, live platform demonstrations, collaborative discussions, practical exercises, and question-and-answer activities. This learning format encouraged active participation while providing opportunities for networking and exchanging good practices among participants from different educational backgrounds.

Throughout the training, particular emphasis was placed on the role of education in supporting the transition to renewable energy and promoting environmental responsibility. Participants explored how the principles of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) can be incorporated into everyday teaching through engaging and learner-centred activities.

One of the core sessions introduced the WP2 Renewable Energy Resources Database, highlighting its educational value and demonstrating how teachers can use the available materials to enrich classroom instruction, develop interdisciplinary activities, and encourage inquiry-based learning.

Participants were also introduced to the digital resources developed within WP3, including the GREENLIGHT e-learning platform, interactive learning modules, and digital educational games. Live demonstrations enabled participants to navigate the platform, experience its features, and identify opportunities for integrating digital tools into their own educational practice.

The programme further explored the WP4 Green Energy STEAM/STEM lesson plans, presenting practical examples of classroom implementation. Through collaborative activities, participants adapted lesson plans to different age groups and educational contexts while discussing innovative teaching strategies that promote active learning.

The final part of the training focused on dissemination and long-term sustainability. Participants examined how project results can be shared through school initiatives, Science Cafés, awareness campaigns, digital communication channels, and collaboration with local communities, ensuring that the impact of the GREENLIGHT project continues beyond the lifetime of the project.

By the conclusion of the three-day training, participants had expanded their knowledge of renewable energy education, strengthened their digital teaching competences, and gained practical experience in using the GREENLIGHT educational resources. The activity contributed to the wider dissemination of the project's results while reinforcing collaboration and knowledge sharing among education professionals.
