MSKU Organised the GREENLIGHT Online e-Learning Training Activity

As part of the GREENLIGHT Erasmus+ Project, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University (MSKU) successfully organised the Online e-Learning Training Activity between 31 March and 2 April 2026.

The three-day online training was implemented within Work Package 5 (WP5) – Boosting Visibility, Ensuring Impact, aiming to increase the visibility of the GREENLIGHT project and disseminate its results through structured online learning activities. The training brought together teachers, educators, school managers, and other education professionals interested in renewable energy education and sustainable teaching practices.

The programme was delivered in an online webinar format, consisting of approximately three hours of training per day, for a total of nine hours. The sessions combined presentations, live demonstrations, interactive discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and collaborative group work in breakout rooms, providing participants with practical learning experiences.

The training programme was designed in line with the objectives of the GREENLIGHT project. It focused on strengthening participants' energy literacy, increasing awareness of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), and supporting the effective use of the educational resources developed throughout the project.

During the training, participants were introduced to the WP2 Renewable Energy Resources Database and explored how these resources can be integrated into classroom teaching and educational activities. Practical examples demonstrated how the database can support lesson planning and improve students' understanding of renewable energy concepts.

The sessions also presented the WP3 digital learning resources, including the GREENLIGHT e-learning platform, interactive learning modules, and digital educational games. Through live demonstrations, participants learned how these digital tools can be incorporated into different teaching environments to create more engaging and interactive learning experiences.

Another important part of the programme focused on the WP4 Green Energy STEAM/STEM lesson plans and workshop activities. Participants examined sample lesson plans and worked collaboratively to design classroom activities that integrate renewable energy topics using STEM methodologies.

The final sessions highlighted the importance of dissemination and sustainability within WP5. Participants discussed ways of promoting the project's outcomes through Science Cafés, awareness campaigns, digital dissemination activities, and school-based networking initiatives, helping to extend the impact of the GREENLIGHT project beyond the training itself.

Throughout the three-day event, participants actively engaged in collaborative discussions and practical activities, sharing experiences and developing educational materials that can be implemented in their own institutions.

The Online e-Learning Training Activity successfully enhanced participants' knowledge of energy literacy, strengthened their capacity to integrate renewable energy topics into teaching, promoted the effective use of the GREENLIGHT digital learning resources, and supported the wider dissemination of the project's educational outcomes.
